Another point worth a mention is celebrities. They have hordes of followers who can be influenced by them. For instance, were a famous actor to support a politician, it is highly likely that his fans would be persuaded for his decision. Another example that pops into my head is how women favor products sponsored by celebrities. Were an actress campaign a brand of shampoo, it is highly likely that most of the purchases are related with the advertisem*nts. As far as channels are concerned, I would say that each day more and more channels arouse. What we will find is that a variety of programs are broadcast daily. Nowadays, one kind of program that has widespread popularity is reality shows. Viewers are hooked on these programs, because not only do they feel identify with the contestants, who by and large are common people, but also because they display the likelihood of become famous overnight. The other side of the coin is that on many occasions the information is biased, thus we need to be cautous and take what we read or watch with a pinch of salt.
